Mary Margaret Binkley is a self taught artist. She created her own style using acrylic and gel medium after being inspired by her late father Robert Thomas McClendon who taught her to value others’ creativity as well as her own. In memory of him, she has incorporated his name into her signature– “M/THOM”. Mary Margaret specializes in trees and angels. Her work has been shown locally in the Decorator Show House, Parade of Homes and numerous other public and private locations.
“Mary’s Rock” measures 30″ by 40.” “Trees V” measures 8″ by 10.” These pieces were done in acrylic and gel over canvas, and both were inspired by the Shades Mountain Shannon Preserve. Mary Margaret has created these and twelve other pieces for ARTSCAPE, all inspired by this beautiful preserve.
