On Saturday, March 19th, beginning at 9am, volunteers will plant shrubs and wildflowers, pick up trash, and remove invasive plants along Five Mile Creek in Roebuck. In addition, the installation of a new Five Mile Creek Greenway sign will be installed. Registration begins at 8am, and work will begin at 9am and last until 12pm. A hot dog lunch will be served to volunteers.
LOCATION: In Roebuck at the parking lot of Alabama Power’s new (opening March 21) East Jefferson business office and appliance center at 9820 Parkway East across from Sonic restaurant.

CHILDREN WELCOME! WEAR COMFORTABLE CLOTHES & STURDY SHOES. Bring light tools (rakes, shovels) and work gloves if you have them.
The Five Mile Creek volunteer events are a project of the Five Mile Creek Greenway Partnership and the Alabama Power Service Organization.
